Leeds Samba was founded in 2016. Sambistas old & new from across the north of England, these drummers & dancers are unidos em ritmo. We perform Afro-Brazilian carnival arts at festivals, parties, clubs and events.

Samba drumming at Leeds unversity student union, and dance classes at Yorkshire Dance, run every Tuesday. Our escola de samba learns & works together towards carnival, shows and appearances throughout the year.

Leeds Samba loves to share our passion, and would like to thank Brighton Pride, Liverpool Brazilica Festival, The London School of Samba, VAMOS! Leeds, Leeds West Indian Carnival, Freedom Mills, Leeds Triathlon, Light Night Leeds, The Wadrobe Leeds, The Hi-Fi Club, Leeds University, Brazilian Carnival @ Belgrave Music Hall, Pontefract Lantern Festival and all the lovely event organisers out there.

Booking Leeds Samba for your event? An experienced team is adaptable to your needs. From club dancefloors to a carnival event, workshop or media appearance; just get in touch.

SEPTEMBER 2021: WE ARE BACK! Like most performing groups, Leeds Samba had a complete shutdown last year. Its great to be dancing and drumming again. No masks are required while you play or dance, but please wear one to the venue. Thank you!
